St. Philip
113 Second Avenue, South
Franklin, TN
Constructed in 1997, the main worship area of St. Philip Church has a beautiful, colonial-style exterior with a modern but elegant interior. The original church building, in use since 1871, is now used as the chapel and is an inspiring and moving place in which to pray and meditate. As an interesting piece of local history, the 1871 church building was built next door to a Masonic temple which has been there since 1823. Mass is offered in the old chapel on occasion, and the experience is well worth the drive.
